Fulbright MA Degree Fellowships

Program Overview

Applications for 2025/26 will open on April 2, 2024.

Fulbright Israel plans to award up to seven master's degree grants to students for the 2025-2026 academic year (starting October 2025).

This program is designed to pursue a Master's degree at an Israeli institution of higher education. Holders of one Master's degree may apply for a second in a different field than the one they already obtained.

In addition to applying for the Fulbright fellowship, each candidate must apply to the degree program through the university's application system. Receiving the Fulbright fellowship is contingent upon acceptance to the degree program. In a case in which the applicant has been awarded a Fulbright fellowship, but was not offered admission to the university, the Fulbright fellowship will be rescinded.

*Please note that applications for MA fellowships in Israel do not require a letter of affiliation.*

Finalists must receive a decision from the university by March 2, 2025 and inform Fulbright Israel whether or not they have been accepted by emailing Assaf Levinton at [email protected].

  • Possession of skills required to promote mutual understanding between the United States and Israel is an important evaluation criterion.

Application Procedures

Applicants must apply to the university parallel to the Fulbright scholarship application submission. Please follow the universities timeline while submitting your application to Fulbright.

At-large applicants (i.e., those not currently enrolled as students) must submit their applications directly to the Institute of International Education (IIE).

Candidates currently enrolled as students at an institution of higher learning must submit their applications through their college/university. On-campus submission deadlines are usually in the first half of September. For full details regarding the on-campus application process, students should contact the Fulbright Program Adviser on their campuses. The names and contact details of campus Fulbright Program Advisers are listed on IIE’s website.
